I am so fortunate to have met Elena Roche at a local paint out about 8 months ago and began taking lessons from her. I have been studio painting for several years and just beginning to paint en plein air. Elena has helped me enormously in observing values outdoors and establishing the foundation of the painting before conditions change. She is an amazing artist and exceptional teacher.

My passion is en Plein Air painting . But I was not very good at it. So after meeting Elena at a paint out, watching her demonstration, I knew she was the teacher for me. Not only is she a beautiful person but an incredibly passionate painter. I have grown so much in the last 8 months and I owe it all to her. She very patiently explains values and shows u how to lay down the correct color on the canvas. Her attention to detail is heavenly. She has become my value Guru and a good friend.
